With over 37 years Estate Agency experience and a lifetime in and around Eye, Simon Harrison, as Director of Harrison Edge, is uniquely positioned to advise on the locality and the many varied and interesting properties available. His Great Grandfathers established their families and businesses in Dublin and Diss during the early 1900’s and four Generations later the commercial instinct of the family continues.
Since being asked at school (Hartismere High School no less) “What do you want to do when you leave?” and answering “I am going to be an Estate Agent!” there has only been one goal: to have his own Estate Agency practice. A fascination with houses and people has always made the job a pleasure and the secret of any good job is not noticing that you are actually working and accepting it as a way of life. Two goals achieved!
A love of horses and the countryside has not only completed the way of life but dovetailed beautifully with Estate Agency. There are few Agents in the area as well versed in equestrian matters and this proves invaluable when talking to Buyers and Sellers alike. You cannot beat ‘Hands On’ experience and if you are a Horse Owner you will certainly get it from the Horses’ Mouth!
Harrison Edge opened their door on May 9th 2009. These past years have flown by and we are extremely grateful for the support which thankfully continues to this day.
As a firm and individuals we will continue to strive to improve and strengthen the image of not just the business but the industry as a whole. I, Simon am a proud supporter of the National Association of Estate Agents, now known commercially as Propertymark, having been a Member since 1991. In 2024 I was greatly honoured by being awarded Fellow status as a reward for my many years of unblemished Membership. I will continue represent the industry to the best of my ability. Times and practices change but old fashioned common sense and decency endures.
